Student Code of Conduct (Campus Rules & Discipline)

Kakarvitta Multiple Campus is committed to providing a disciplined, safe, respectful, and academically focused learning environment. This Student Code of Conduct outlines the rules, responsibilities, and expected behaviour of all students to maintain academic excellence, institutional dignity, and mutual respect within the campus community.

This Code of Conduct applies to all students enrolled at Kakarvitta Multiple Campus and is applicable within the campus premises, during academic activities, examinations, programs, and any campus-organized events.

1. General Conduct & Responsibilities

All students must:

  • Follow campus bylaws, policies, notices, instructions, and official communications.

  • Respect the dignity, reputation, discipline, and academic environment of the campus.

  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, cooperation, and ethical behaviour at all times.

  • Maintain respectful relationships with teachers, staff, fellow students, and visitors.

  • Contribute positively to the academic, social, and cultural environment of the campus.

2. Academic Discipline & Attendance

  • Students must attend classes regularly and remain present for the full duration of scheduled lectures.

  • Active participation in academic activities, internal assessments, and examinations is mandatory.

  • Any behaviour that disrupts teaching, learning, or examination environments is strictly prohibited.

  • Students must follow subject teachers’ instructions, academic guidelines, and evaluation procedures.

3. Respectful Behaviour & Campus Safety

Students must:

  • Use polite, respectful language and behaviour toward faculty members, staff, and peers.

  • Avoid bullying, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or any form of mental or physical harm.

  • Maintain peace, order, and a safe atmosphere within campus premises.

  • Refrain from actions that create fear, pressure, or insecurity among others.

4. Prohibited Activities

  • The following activities are strictly prohibited inside campus premises:

    • Carrying weapons, dangerous tools, prohibited substances, or restricted materials.

    • Organizing or participating in public gatherings, political programs, protests, sports events, cultural programs, or any activities without prior written approval from campus authorities.

    • Fighting, abusive language, threats, coercion, vandalism, theft, or destruction of property.

    • Unauthorized entry into restricted areas, classrooms, laboratories, or offices.

    • Any activity that negatively affects the academic or administrative functioning of the campus.

5. Dress Code & Campus Identity

To maintain academic seriousness and discipline:

  • Students must follow the campus-approved dress code or uniform while entering campus premises.

  • Excessive fashion, inappropriate clothing, or appearance that disrupts academic decorum is not allowed.

  • Wearing unnecessary ornaments, heavy makeup, or unsuitable hairstyles that conflict with campus norms is discouraged.

  • Students must maintain a clean, neat, and respectful appearance.

6. Mobile Phone & Classroom Discipline

  • Mobile phone usage during class hours that disturbs teaching and learning is prohibited.

  • Students must maintain silence and discipline during lectures, examinations, and official programs.

  • Any misuse of electronic devices inside classrooms may result in disciplinary action.

7. Library Rules & Campus Property

  • Students must follow all library rules regarding book borrowing, usage, and return deadlines.

  • Campus property including books, equipment, furniture, laboratory tools, sports materials, and infrastructure must be handled responsibly.

  • Intentional or careless damage, loss, or misuse of campus property is strictly prohibited and may require compensation.

8. Fees, Clearance & Official Documents

  • Students must pay all prescribed fees, fines, and charges within the stipulated time.

  • Before receiving certificates such as Character Certificate, Transfer Certificate, Recommendation Letters, or other official documents, students must:

    • Clear all library dues

    • Return borrowed materials

    • Settle all financial obligations with the campus

9. Entry Rules & Campus Timing

  • Students must enter the campus only during officially approved hours.

  • Entry into campus premises without permission during restricted times or into restricted areas is not allowed.

  • Any special entry or exit requires approval from campus administration.

10. Disciplinary Action

Violation of this Student Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, which may include:

  • Verbal or written warning

  • Fine or penalty

  • Suspension from classes or campus activities

  • Other actions as decided by the Campus Administration

11. Grievance & Support Mechanism

Students facing academic, disciplinary, safety, or personal issues are encouraged to:

  • Contact the Campus Administration Office, or

  • Use official communication channels provided by the campus

All grievances will be handled fairly, responsibly, and confidentially as per institutional policy.

12. Policy Authority & Applicability

  • This Student Code of Conduct is approved by the Campus Administration / Management Committee.

  • The policy is subject to revision, amendment, or update as required.

  • Students are responsible for staying informed about any updates through official campus notices or the website.

By enrolling at Kakarvitta Multiple Campus, every student agrees to uphold this Student Code of Conduct and contribute to a disciplined, respectful, and high-quality academic environment.

Students have the right to raise concerns or grievances related to disciplinary matters through the official Grievance Redressal Mechanism of the campus.
