Official News: Campus ECA Committee Organizes Eye Dryness Awareness & Screening Program
With an increasing reliance on digital screens and environmental stressors impacting vision health, the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) Committee of Kakarvitta Multiple Campus organized a comprehensive Eye Dryness Awareness and Screening Program.
The health initiative was conducted in technical collaboration and support from Mechi Netralaya, bringing professional ophthalmic diagnostic services directly to the campus community.
The formal inauguration was chaired by Mr. Lambodar Poudel, Chairman of the Campus ECA Committee, with Mr. Durga Prasad Sapkota, Chairman of the Campus Management Committee (CMC), gracing the event as the Chief Guest.
Key Highlights & Program Details
Expert Clinical Facilitation: The awareness seminar and clinical eye screening were expert-facilitated by Mr. Yogendra Raut, Senior Ophthalmic Officer at Mechi Netralaya. Mr. Raut delivered an insightful session detailing the causes, symptoms, preventative routines, and clinical management of Dry Eye Syndrome (DES) caused by prolonged screen exposure.
Beneficiaries Screened: A total of 55 participants—comprising students, faculty members, and administrative staff—underwent diagnostic screening for dry eye conditions, tear film stability, and general visual acuity.
Closing & Vote of Thanks: Delivering the formal vote of thanks, CMC Member Mr. Sushil Acharya expressed heartfelt appreciation to Mechi Netralaya, Senior Ophthalmic Officer Mr. Yogendra Raut, and the ECA Committee for taking proactive steps toward community health and wellness within the campus.
