Kakarvitta Multiple Campus served as the central venue for two impactful community welfare programs organized by Mechinagar Lady JCI on Wednesday as part of their annual JCI Week celebrations. The joint events featured a comprehensive Orientation on First Aid Treatment along with a Voluntary Blood Donation Drive.
First Aid Orientation Program
The orientation seminar was tailored specifically for the students of Kakarvitta Multiple Campus and was organized with technical assistance from the Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS), Mechinagar Municipal Branch.
Expert Facilitation: NRCS Mechinagar Branch Secretary/Trainer Mr. Dilli Ram Bhandari and Mr. Hari Sharan Khadka facilitated the sessions.
Core Learning: The trainers explained that first aid is the fundamental initial care given before professional medical help arrives. They emphasized that its three core goals are preserving life, preventing the condition from worsening, and promoting recovery.
Practical Training: Students received practical knowledge on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), managing bone fractures, and controlling emergency nose and ear bleeding.
Dignitaries and Key Speeches
The event was presided over by Mechinagar Lady JCI President Ms. Rita Shrestha Pradhan and attended by Campus Chief Mr. Laxmi Prasad Uprety as the Chief Guest. Chief Guest Uprety praised Mechinagar Lady JCI for their creative and highly positive contribution to public health awareness.
Other key speakers at the inaugural ceremony included NRCS Mechinagar Branch President Mr. Ramesh Dahal and Kakarvitta Multiple Campus Management Committee Chairman Mr. Durga Prasad Sapkota. The session was seamlessly anchored by JCI 2026 General Secretary Ms. Krishna Kumari (Kalpana) Uprety Prasai, while Vice President Ms. Pramila Oli Uprety presented the JCI Vision & Mission, and member Ms. Pramila Khatri led the JCI creed/induction recital.
Felicitation of Campus Chief Laxmi Prasad Uprety
During the ceremony, Mechinagar Lady JCI and campus members proudly honored Campus Chief Laxmi Prasad Uprety on his home ground following his recent election as the Central Chairman of the National Cooperative Bank Limited (NCBL). He was presented with an official letter of appreciation and a token of love by JCI President Rita Shrestha Pradhan and CMC Chairman Durga Prasad Sapkota, who extended their warmest congratulations for a successful tenure.
Voluntary Blood Donation Drive
Running parallelly to address the acute shortage of blood across various regional health facilities, the blood donation drive successfully mobilized local youth and students.
Total Collected: 17 Pints of Blood were successfully collected during the drive.
Handover: The collected blood bags were immediately handed over to the Nepal Red Cross Society, Mechinagar Branch.
Recognition: All voluntary blood donors were rewarded with certificates of appreciation and fresh fruits as a token of gratitude for their life-saving contribution.
